Ekiti Girl Emerges Highest Scorer In 2026 UTME With 372 Marks

The National President of the Erinmope Development Union, Prince Dayo Olajide, has congratulated an indigene of Erinmope Ekiti, Daniella Owoeye, for emerging as the highest scorer in the 2026 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Daniella Owoeye, who plans to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos, scored 372 out of 400 in the examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The Ogun State-based Ekiti indigene was unveiled as the highest scorer during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday.

According to reports, Daniella attributed her success to consistency, strategic studying, and the extensive use of past questions while preparing for the examination.

Reacting to the achievement, Prince Olajide described the performance as a remarkable accomplishment that reflects hard work, discipline, determination, and academic excellence.

In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, the union stated that her success had brought pride not only to her family but also to Erinmope Ekiti, Moba Local Government, and Ekiti State as a whole.

“This achievement is a clear indication that dedication and perseverance always yield positive results. You have become a source of inspiration to other students who aspire to attain greatness through education,” the statement read in part.

The union also prayed for greater opportunities and continued success in her academic journey.
