Two people have sustained gunshot injuries after police successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt during an armed exchange with suspected kidnappers in Oyo State.
According to reports, security operatives engaged the armed suspects in a gunfire exchange, disrupting what appears to be a planned abduction.
The injured victims were quickly rescued and taken to a medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Security forces have since intensified operations in the area to track down fleeing suspects.
Authorities have also assured residents that efforts are ongoing to strengthen security and prevent further attacks.
