Yemi Solade Reveals He Was Paid to Pretend to Be Crippled During Staged Church Miracle

Yemi Solade Reveals He Was Paid to Pretend to Be Crippled During Staged Church Miracle

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed that he once accepted money to pretend to have a physical disability during a staged church miracle service.

Solade made the revelation during an interview with Feel Right News TV, recalling an incident from his younger days when he was still a student and had not yet become a well-known actor.

According to the veteran actor, he was recruited to act as a cripple during the church service and was paid for taking part in the staged miracle.

“I have been used for a miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student,” Solade said.

The actor explained that the incident happened during the early stages of his life, before he established himself as one of Nollywood’s recognised actors.

Solade Refuses to Name Those Involved

Although Solade spoke about his experience, he declined to identify the people who were allegedly involved in organising the staged miracle.

He explained that the individuals are still alive and that he did not want to mention their names publicly.

“The people involved are still alive; I just don’t want to mention names,” he said.

His comments have sparked renewed discussion about allegations of staged miracles and the possibility of people being recruited to create the appearance of supernatural healings during religious services.

However, Solade’s account relates specifically to an incident he says he personally participated in as a young student. He did not identify the church, the service or the individuals involved.

A Revelation From His Early Years

Solade is one of Nigeria’s veteran actors, having built a long career in Nollywood. His latest disclosure offers a personal account of an experience he says occurred before his acting career brought him widespread recognition.

The revelation has generated attention because of the wider debate surrounding the authenticity of some miracle claims made during religious gatherings.

Solade’s decision not to name those involved means that the identities behind the incident remain undisclosed.

What do you think about Yemi Solade’s revelation? Do you believe staged miracles still occur in some religious gatherings?
