A coalition of Christian leaders and political stakeholders in Kwara State has declared support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governorship ambition of Saliu Mustapha ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made during an interdenominational prayer gathering held in Ilorin and organised by Christian Leaders in Politics.
Speaking at the event, President of the Christian Leaders Fellowship, Pastor Abel Aiyedogbon, described Senator Saliu Mustapha as a leader who has maintained a strong relationship with the Christian community in the state.
Other clerics at the gathering also expressed support for Mustapha, citing what they described as inclusive leadership and accessibility regardless of religious differences.
The event also featured prayers for President Tinubu, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and peace in Nigeria ahead of the political season.
Political activities and alignments ahead of the 2027 elections have continued to gather momentum across different parts of the country.
