A former governorship candidate of the Zenith Labour Party in Ondo State, Abass Mimiko, has claimed that many voters sold their votes during the 2024 governorship election in the state.
According to him, some residents later admitted regretting their decision after collecting small amounts of money on election day.
Mimiko said the experience showed that voter education remains one of the biggest challenges facing Nigeria’s democracy.
