ABSU Student Alleges Assault By Police Officers In Abia



A student of Abia State University has accused unidentified police officers of assault and harassment along Uturu Road in Abia State.


In a post shared on X, the student identified as @BuddyJnrrr claimed the incident happened around 2:31pm near the university area after officers stopped the mini bus he boarded.


According to him, the officers questioned him over why he was carrying three phones before allegedly dragging him, his brother, and another passenger into a nearby bush where they were beaten.

He further alleged that the officers threatened them and warned that they could be shot without consequences.


The student also claimed he sustained injuries during the incident, including bleeding from the ear and damage to his phone.


The post has generated reactions online, with many expressing concerns over alleged police harassment around the university environment.
