Maria Alvarez proudly voted for Donald Trump, believing his promises to protect American families and fix the immigration system.
But ICE agents arrived at her home in El Paso and detained her husband of 12 years, Julio a father of three and business owner.
“I supported the president because I believed he cared about people like us,” Maria said. “Now I’m watching my children cry for their father.”
Despite Julio having no criminal record, he’s being held for deportation. The case has triggered national attention and raised questions about how far immigration enforcement has gone and who it’s really targeting.
