A leaked research grant from a Pentagon subcontractor has revealed something straight out of science fiction: a classified program designed to develop DNA-modifying vaccines that could control a soldier’s behavior in combat.
The project, referred to as GeneCalm, was allegedly tested on animals to suppress panic, fear, and hesitation under stress. Whistleblower documents show early human trials may have already begun with military volunteers.
Bioethics experts are sounding the alarm, calling it “a horrifying step toward weaponizing biology.”
