It started like any other workday until helicopters arrived overhead. Federal agents from ICE stormed a large cannabis farm in Southern California this week, detaining workers and creating chaos that quickly escalated into a public protest.
Eyewitnesses say agents used force to detain immigrants they suspected of being undocumented. Protesters clashed with officers, screaming, “Let them go!” as tension reached a boiling point.
The farm’s owners claim most workers had legal permits. “We’re just trying to make an honest living,” one said. But critics say this raid sends a chilling message, especially to those working in legal gray areas of cannabis farming.
