Palestine Action is known for targeting weapons factories and companies that supply arms to Israel. Their actions have included spray painting buildings and blocking factory entrances. The group has not been linked to any violent attacks against people.
The decision is drawing strong criticism from human rights groups and activists, who argue that the government is trying to criminalize peaceful protest and political dissent. Many say this is a step toward silencing those who oppose the UK’s support for Israel.
In just two days, a video opposing the ban has been watched over 380,000 times on YouTube, showing growing public concern over the issue.
If the ban goes into effect, anyone who expresses support for Palestine Action online or in person could be prosecuted under terrorism laws. The group plans to challenge the decision in court.
Critics say this sets a dangerous precedent and threatens freedom of speech and the right to protest in the UK.
